The
Health Information Project provides materials that focus on teen health
and social issues and substance abuse prevention through public libraries
in the five counties served by the Mid-Hudson Library System: Columbia,
Dutchess, Greene, Putnam, and Ulster.
The Project's DVDs/videos, books and website links address areas of concern
to teens, their families, educators and agencies serving youth. Selected materials are available in Spanish.
The research-based RISK
AND PROTECTION-FOCUSED PREVENTION FRAMEWORK applies for all materials.
Videos/DVDs
from the Project have public performance rights and are suitable for use
by teachers in classrooms and workshops, by youth services providers and
program leaders, by parents, and by young adults. They are effective group
discussion stimulators and valuable additions to student research assignments
