Sites that offer teens a place to find answers to questions in private that are vetted and reliable. As part of the Health Information Project’s 2010 summer Teen Intern Program, our reviewers looked at and evaluated 33 web sites to come up with the TOP TEEN PICKS.

HEALTH SITES FOR ALL AGES
Librarian-approved websites where you can search for information under the topics of  general health, mental health, drugs, physician, hospital & care options, and topic-specific sites.

ARTICLES ON HEALTH
Resources with information you cannot find through a regular web search. They are part of the “invisible web” because they are newspaper and magazine articles that have been purchased for libraries and they can only be accessed with a library card.

NATIONAL HEALTH OBSERVANCES
Find national teen-focused health observances that are featured throughout the year. Enrich your school or agency involvement in these observances by using Health Information Project videos, DVDs, and books.
